What can a video consultation help with?

Light to minor concerns such as coughs, colds, sore throats, skin rashes, urinary symptoms, travel and stomach upsets, medication questions, reviewing test results and follow-up after a clinic visit. The doctor listens, assesses your symptoms and gives clear guidance.

How long is the appointment?

Each online consultation is a focused 10 minute slot. If the doctor feels you need more time or a physical examination, you will be invited to attend the clinic in St Julian's.

How do I join the video call?

When your booking is confirmed you receive an email with a private join link. Open it in your browser on a phone, tablet or computer at your appointment time. There is no app to install and no account to create.

Question 4

Can the doctor prescribe medication online?

Accepted Answer

Where it is clinically appropriate the doctor can issue a prescription or a referral after the consultation. Some medicines and certificates require an in-person examination, and the doctor will tell you if that applies.

Is it suitable for emergencies?

Accepted Answer

No. Online consultations are not suitable for chest pain, breathlessness, severe bleeding, serious injury or any life-threatening symptom. For emergencies in Malta, call 112.

Which times can I book?

Accepted Answer

Online slots follow clinic hours: Daily 09:00 - 19:00, Sundays and Public Holidays 10:00 - 12:00. Times shown on the booking calendar are Malta time and update live, so any slot you can see is still free.
